YES, I LOVE POPCORN!!
(Important New Year’s Message for you from me below)
Popcorn is the ultimate snack (that is what I believe). It brings back memories of when I was a child and on the weekend our family would always have one night when we would have popcorn and play games.
We actually continued this right up until present day – yes – at 50 when I went to stay with my parents for the weekend we would still have popcorn and game night (as adults, usually cards). It was fantastic! Even the years my dad was not well, he would still make it to the dinning room table to nibble on some of the popcorn and play cards with us.
My dad loved to win. He didn’t like to lose – he wasn’t really the best loser. My mom and I are not competitive at all and really don’t take games seriously. Which drove my dad and sister crazy!
Funny, even when my daughter was young, my dad would never let her win. If she lost, she lost. So funny!
All the years my daughter was growing up when we went to visit my parents on the weekend she would look so forward to popcorn and game night.
I was a single mother continued the tradition but changed it up a bit. On the weekends my daughter and I would have popcorn and movie night. To do this day – I usually always have popcorn on Friday night.
Popcorn is great because you can flavour it hundreds of ways. I used to only do butter and salt and now each time I change it up.
