I know the title of this post is very strange. I wanted to cover 2 things in this post but both are very different.
I spent from September 8th to September 26th in Alberta with my family. I spent the first part (until September 19th) being at the hospital by my father’s side. My mom and me took shifts and my other sisters were there as much as they could be. It was an extremely hard time but of course – it was hardest for my father. He was always a strong, resourceful and hardworking man and to see him so helpless and weak was very sad for all of us.
I am grateful that I was there with him, be really present and love him. I am also grateful I was there for my mom as she has been caring for him for years and years. They were married for 53 years and my dad has had cancer for 11 years. It was many years of stressful times for the both of them.
He transitioned into the spirit world on the evening of September 18th. Although that was deeply emotionally hard, it was a blessing as he was not living the life he would choose to live. He was suffering and had no quality of life.
It was much different than I thought, watching someone in their last few hours on earth, I didn’t know what to expect. I saw his body atrophy and shut down. The people who saw him those last days (including my mom) all said that they hope they go fast. They wish that when it is their time, they will have something more humane – I wish for a needle to be given that will just put me to sleep and then I would drift off, to the spirit world. Peacefully and quietly, not starving to death and not gasping for air (and all the other things that happen).
He is now in a beautiful, peaceful place and is in no pain and of course is with many loved ones who have gone before him.
It really, really made me realize how important health is. The hospital care was …….. not so great. There were some excellent nurses but they were always short staffed. It is crazy how the health care system runs and I would not (in a million years) want to spend an extended period of time in a hospital.
I would like you to think about this: If you do not take care of yourself – then you may end up suffering in a hospital and believe me – they can only do so much and you are left alone for a very long time in not so great conditions unless you have family there who can help.
I URGE AND PLEAD with you to take your health seriously as you are responsible for how you age, for how you live and for how you look and feel.
HOW DO YOU WANT TO LIVE? HOW DO YOU WANT TO FEEL?
HOW DO YOU WANT TO AGE?
It is time to think about these things and STOP THE EXCUSES!
Do not say “I don’t have enough time” – because you may end up in the hospital with more time than you know what to do with but you won’t be liking it.
There are so many things you can do to free up enough time, to get motivated to do what needs to be done.
It is more than just what you eat. It is what you think, what you do, the people you hang out with, the career and work you do, what you think about yourself, what you think about your life and how stressed you are.
There is so much you can do and it doesn’t have to be hard, it doesn’t have to be a struggle, you don’t have to do it alone. YOU CAN feel better, have more energy, feel healthier, happier, be motivated and inspired.
You are loved by many and you have so much to live for and to do. Do it with health, joy and vibrant energy!
Sorry if the above sounded like a lecture or a kick in the butt – but I guess it was! Believe me, I am directing that at myself too.
CHANGE IN MY BUSINESS
Many of you have been following me since I was doing my raw food classes and I thank you very, very much. As you noticed I have been getting away from that. I still LOVE raw foods and believe in the benefits of them but I also know that everyone is different and not 1 diet (or way of eating) works for everyone.
From working with so many women I also realize that it is not just about the food. Health is so much more. It involves the MIND, BODY AND SPIRIT and that is why I am talking more about all of these things now.
I also am very excited to help women move through perimenopause with more ease and understanding.
Perimenopause is the stage that starts in your 40′s and when your body (mind/body/soul) really does some serious shifts and changes.
This phase also can cause some pretty uncomfortable symptoms. I have been through it and researched, studied, experimented and learned so much about how to help get through this stage. There is just not enough information out there for women and that is why I will be sharing more and so excited to offer programs to guide women through this.
The world is changing in wonderful, miraculous ways! Don’t focus on the negative and harsh things that are going on. Focus on how more people are being aware of their spirituality, that there is a higher power to tap into and we really can live a life that we truly desire.
