This raw vegan gluten-free chocolate heart-shaped cake has an amazing creamy dairy and sugar free icing – PERFECT for Valentine’s Day! There are 2 videos this week. Video #1 is how to make the raw chocolate heart-shaped cake and Video #2 is how to make the creamy, dreamy icing.

The base of the cake I used pecans and walnuts, Medjool dates, raw cacao and vanilla. You can change up the nuts but I like the softness of pecans and walnuts – work really well for making the “cake”.
The avocados – used in the icing – were really good. I got some great ones and that makes such a difference in the texture and taste of the icing. Make sure the avocados are ripe but not over ripe. When making the icing, if you still taste the avocado flavour a bit too much, then add more cacao powder and more sweetener.
