NATURAL SKIN CARE PRODUCTS THAT ARE EASY ON THE POCKET

I started taking care of my skin when I was 19. I was a sun worshiper and knew that sun can do a lot of damage to my skin and I was not willing to stay in the shade so…….I started wearing eye cream at the age of 19.

Back then there was not a lot of talk about “natural skin products”. I bought what I thought was good but who knows what was in it.

Our skin is the largest organ  and what we put on our body is absorbed right into our blood stream. We are bombarded by toxins in our environment, in water bottles, plastic food containers and the air we breathe. Over the last few years as well as cleaning up what I eat, I have been more conscious about what I put on my body.

I used to love perfumed body lotion and every day I would slather it all over my body. Yikes! Now coconut oil is my body creme of choice.

Below is a video I did on some natural skin products and shampoo that I currently use and where I buy these products.

In the video I speak about the almond oil I use on my face.  Other great oils for your skin are jojoba oil, Argan oil and avocado oil. You can find these at some grocery stores and at health food stores.

My hair is naturally curly and frizzy, in the video I have straightened it. To tame the frizz I rub just a bit of coconut oil (can also use argan oil) into my hands and then rub them on the ends of my hair. Do not use too much!!

Coconut oil is probably something I could not do without now. I use it for so many things!

You can spend hundreds of dollars for a skin care system at a cosmetic counter. I used to be one of those people spending a whole lot of money for a whole lot of chemicals.

Luckily people are becoming more conscious of what they eat and what they put on their body and therefore you have more people who are learning to make natural body products. If you are someone who does not wish to make your own, check out the farmers markets in your area. You will probably find  people who love to make these beautiful natural products. You will benefit by buying their products as well as helping to to support a small local business in your area.

Take a look at the products you are using on your skin. Take steps towards changing to natural products (skin care bought at a store and says “all natural” probably isn’t). Maybe try making some of your own natural skin products. There are a lot of great blogs and sites out there that will show you how.

LIVE HAPPY & HEALTHY!
