In this video I go over a few of the essential raw food kitchen appliances you will need to prepare raw food recipes.

Even if you do not eat a high raw diet I feel these basic appliances are needed to prepare healthy raw food and vegan recipes. I believe that everyone should have a blender to prepare smoothies and juices. In this video I show you my blender, which is a Blentec blender, and let you know what I feel the difference between a Vitamix and a Blentec blender is. (Below the video I also give you a couple recipes for great refreshing cranberry drinks)

Today, with my Blentec, I made some home-made cranberry juice. I have been making this often now that the weather is warmer. It is very refreshing and I love it with fresh lime.

  • 1/2 C frozen cranberries
  • 2 C water (depends on how strong you want it)
  • 1 lime squeezed
  • 1 tsp of agave (depends on how sweet you want it)
  • dash of cinnamon

That is it! Throw it all in a blender and blend it up! So delicious! This way better than bottled cranberry juice you buy at a grocery store which is full of sugar and usually other fruit juice concentrates.

The home-made cranberry juice can be stored in mason jars in the fridge for up to a week.

MIX IT UP – Cranberry with Lemon-Lime

  • 1/2 glass of fresh cranberry juice
  • 1/2 glass of Santa Cruz Lemon-lime drink
  • Some ice

This is one of my favorite drinks so far this summer.

This morning I saw an commercial for a great blender system called “The Ninja Professional Blender” – site is:

This looks pretty incredible. The site shows the blender and then a separate page shows the accessories. On TV you can order the blender with the accessories for a great price. High speed (power) blender. This blender can also be purchased at Canadian Tire for $99.99. I would recommend this for sure so check it out!

Leave a comment and let me know what you feel is the most essential appliance in your kitchen.
